Heavy Metal aus Osteuropa

ISBN:
978-3-931624-20-0

For the fancier of metallic sounds Easteurope is a very fascinating chapter of music-history, which is illustrated in »Heavy Metal from Easteurope«. Meanwhile there already exist publishings about the most parts of the world (not at last several volumes published by Iron Pages) Easteurope was a blind spot on the "Heavy Metal map" up to now.

Besides Southamerica, Heavy Metal from Easteurope developed to a beloved object of collectors in the last few years. Although for example bands from Polland like ACID DRINKERS or TURBO were laughed at in the eighties, today even in the USA it could happen, that someone pays amounts of money of three figures for original pressings. If someone considers how the political situation in Easteurope was like before 1989, this doesn't astonish.

The present encyclopaedia is not a dusty dictionary. It not only submits the facts but also the personal views of the authors about the bands. The book contains the Heavy Metal-szenes in Polland, Czech, Bulgaria, Ex-Jugoslavia, Hungary, Rumania, Slowakia and also Austria. It is clear, that even for metalmaniacs it offers obscure and unknown bands like IRA, KRÜGER, DEATH VOMIT, SING SING, ADOLF CASTLE or a czech tribute-sampler to Karel Gott. In the same set, there are planned books about Heavy Metal in Southeurope and in Westeurope, too.
